The Temple half marathon is a 13.1 mile half marathon over hilly back roads, some paved, some gravel; over 1,000- foot climb. The race is through one of the picturesque, rural towns in the Monadnock Region. The race benefits the Temple Town Hall Restoration project.

Temple Town Hall Restoration Project has a threefold mission: To bring the Temple Town Hall to 21st-century environmental and safety standards; to enhance its functional capabilities and aesthetic qualities; and to restore it to its traditional role as a prime community gathering place. Of foremost importance is the preservation of the old building’s architectural integrity and its setting in the village landscape.

The 2024 Temple Half Marathon is dedicated to Temple's Quarter Millennium Birthday.
