The 2009 Temple Half Marathon proudly celebrates the
dedication of the Temple Town Hall. The Temple half
marathon is a 13.1 mile half
marathon over hilly back roads, some
paved, some gravel; over 1,000-foot
climb. The race is through one of
the most picturesque, rural towns in the
Monadnock Region. The race benefits
the Temple Town Hall Restoration
project. Refreshments - water, Annie's Famous Beans, and pies - will be available after the race.
Temple Town Hall Restoration Project has a threefold mission:
- To bring the Temple Town Hall to 21st-century environmental and safety standards;
- To enhance the Temple Town Hall's functional capabilities and aesthetic qualities;
- To restore the Temple Town Hall to its traditional role as a prime community gathering place.
Of foremost importance is the preservation of the old building�s architectural integrity and its setting
in the village landscape.
